5 Real Simple Whistler Valentine's Ideas
Posted: Wednesday, February 12, 2014
It's Valentine's Day this Friday. A day that can be full of hype and overblown expectations. Let's bring it down a notch and celebrate your sweetheart in a simple, real, authentic way. (Yes, you can do this in Whistler.)
A truly romantic idea, you ride along on a private sleigh ride with gentle Percheron horses, noticing the trees, snow, moonlight and each other as you head toward an intimate fondue dinner.
This is a traditional Finnish outdoor spa located 2 minutes from the village near Lost Lake. Enjoy 20,000 square feet of outdoor spas, surrounded by forrest and calm. The perfect antidote to the busy, bustling village. And with the full moon out this Valentine's night, you're going to be in one of the most simply romantic places. Enjoy.
This is a lovely, quiet restaurant away from the bustle of the village, on Green Lake. The intimate feel includes lots of wood and low lights, with window views of Green Lake. The Prix Fixe menu for Valentine's Day in $70 each, and is quite a treat. Click through to see the entire menu.
You can rent snowshoes at many places around the village, and then be on your way on a lovely trek around Lost Lake by moonlight. What a simple, perfect Valentine's idea this one is. You can be outdoors with the one you love, walking side by side, enjoying the fresh air, the snow, the moonlight...
If you prefer nordic skiing to snow shoeing, then go for it! Similar to the idea of snowshoeing, but nordic skiing instead at the same venue. Moonlight, the soft sounds of the skis on the trail, the fresh air, and the laughing you'll do as you swish through the forest around Lost Lake.
We hope your Valentine's Day is as real as you are. Enjoy, and we hope to see you back at the Inn later!
