From full gourment dining experiences to casual fireside meals, Whistler has it all collected in a nice group: the Village. But after a day outside hiking and biking, coming back to a a beer and a burger might just be the perfect ending note to the day. So where can you find Whistler's best burgers? The best burger you will ever have, no question about it. Splitz is a legendary local, family-owned joint that lets you park your bike out front and order choose all the ingredients. That's 2/3-pound of meat, filled with fresh, local ingredients. Alternatively, check out their grilled chicken, spicy lentil, a free-range buffalo or turkey burger to mix things up. Citta's, a sports bar right in the heart of Whistler, has won awards for best patio, best local hangount and best people watching as voted by Pique Newsmagazine. "The Grizzly," D&B's monstrous 8oz burger with bacon, mushrooms, eggs, peppers, and "Grizzly Sauce," can give any burger a run for the money. Dirk & Bernie have been a hidden Whistler, located not far from the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre. It is small, family-owned and -operated, and boy, do they know how to serve a hearty meal.
