Whistlers Best Patios
Posted: Thursday, May 30, 2013
The first week of June is almost here and with sunshine in the forecast for the weekend it's the perfect time to catch some rays on the patio. Here at the Whistler Holiday Inn we want to help you in your quest of finding the best place to grab a drink outside. Check out our list of Whistler's best patio's.
Probably the most popular and photographed patio in Whistler The Longhorn patio is well known around these parts. Thanks to its amazing location at the base of Whistler Mountain skiers/snowboarders and mountain bikers can park their equipment at the door and sit down outside for a pint. Skiers Plaza is a hub for entertainment and foot traffic so the Longhorn patio is always sure to be busy. If you want to grab a drink in the middle of the action look no further than The Longhorn.
Located in the smack dab middle of Village Square Citta's is another pub in a high traffic area. Great pub food and a cool view of the Village make for great conversation and people watching. If you're hungry try the pulled pork nachos an amazing pile of cheesy goodness & meat. Reasonably priced drinks and spot in the village is what draws people to this local pub.
If an amazing view and all day sun coverage is what you're looking for than the Roundhouse will suite you just fine. This cool looking pub has a rustic feel to it and is often overlooked because it's on the outskirts of the village. Located right beside Whistler's Olympic Rings and Olympic Plaza there definitely sense of calmness around this area compared to the central village pubs. If you're looking for a place to talk to friends without all the hustle and bustle of the village but still within walking distance this may be your best bet. The patio itself is huge and as previously mentioned is laid out so the sun hit's it throughout the day.
Dusty's Bar & Grill
Located in Whistler Creekside Village this pub has one of the coolest vibes to it in Whistler. The pub itself is huge and has patio just as big outside. If you find yourself in Whistler's Creekside this place should be a no brainer to visit. Probably the best pub food on this list Dusty's is well known for their epic BBQ and even hosts the Canadian National BBQ Championships every summer. Cheap jugs of beer, great food and an amazing view of Whistler Mountain is what draw people to this gem.
The Den at Nicklaus North
Often called the best kept secret in Whistler the patio at Nicklaus North is usually only known to golfers and locals. This huge stone patio sits outside of the beautiful Nicklaus North Club House and looks out upon the glacier fed Green Lake. No other patio on this list can match the views The Den offers. One of the cheapest places to drink in Whistler also makes this place an intriguing option when looking for a patio. The only downside to this spot is it's located a 6 minute drive away from the village. But if you're willing to park the car and cab this spot is well worth the visit.
