Bike Park Opens Friday

With the arrival of spring also comes the arrival of the 2013 summer bike season. And nothing announces the beginning of the season quite like the opening of the Whistler Bike Park.

Thanks to the awesome spring weather we've been getting and the hard working bike park staff the park is set to open this Friday, May 17. The park opens at 10AM and will remain open until 5PM. These hours will continue to stay in place until June 14, when the summer schedule kicks in.

As previously mentioned Whistler has been getting some great early spring weather which has allowed the bike park staff to devote more time to maintaining the park rather than clearing snow.

Bike Park manager Brian Finestone recently posted, "Our goal is to open with a record number of trails on the first day of operations to give you folks the best kick off riding ever! I won't list all of what will be open but you can count on the favorites being ready to roll. It is looking like most of the singletrack is good to go, A-line, B-Line, Crank-it-Up, Ninja Cougar, Karate Monkey and even Crabapple Hits! The ultimate goal is to have Dirt Merchant for day one."
