WB Extends Ski Season

Whistler Blackcomb recently announced they have pushed back their closing day until May, 27. This gives riders more time to enjoy the hill before they have to hang up the gear for the year.
"Whistler Blackcomb is lucky to boast one of the longest ski seasons in North America," said Stuart Rempel, WB's VP of marketing and sales, in the release. "Whether it is skiing freshly groomed corn snow, or enjoying an après beverage while listening to live music on the patio of Merlin's, we want to make sure guests have the best possible spring experience."
It was also announced in the same release that the Whistler Bike Park is aiming for a May, 17 opening. Bike park manager Brian Finestone says, "The trails are currently covered in a layer of snow, but as of April 22 our dedicated trail crews will start to clear the snow and resurrect the park in time for opening day on May 17."
It's important to note that beginning April, 22 both mountain's will begin opening up at 10AM instead of 8:30AM.
